Record breaking performances not limited to London 2012

Having completed a successful build and breakdown at Nor-Fishing 2012 in Trondheim, Norway, the RMP Design teams rolls into Stavanger next week for ONS 2012. This will be the 8th visit by RMP to the biennial gathering of the offshore industry in the Norwegian city.

The events follow on thick and fast with on site builds in Hamburg and London before a short break until the company returns for its fifth visit in 6 years to Busan in South Korea in mid-November.

However, the company's growth has not been limited purely to its exhibition business. With a number of new client gains and high levels of activity from existing clients, RMP Design is experiencing one of the busiest periods since it was founded over 20 years ago.

This week sees the delivery of a 620 page technical manual – breaking a longstanding record for the largest project by page count in RMP Design's history and September will see the launch of the company's first iPhone app for a client which is currently in final beta testing.

Charles continues "We are seeing positive growth in many areas of our business which is particularly satisfying in the present economic climate. We are very excited by the launch of the iPhone app in September as we see this as a major growth area for the business in the next few years."

Greece is the word for local design agency

RMP Design & Marketing's exhibition team flies out to Athens next week to build an 80sqm stand at Posidonia 2012 for Jotun Paints.

The trip to Greece is the third stop on a worldwide programme which this year includes events in South Korea, USA, Norway, Germany and the UK. In addition to these on-site custom build exhibition stands, RMP supplies exhibition graphics and other materials to clients on all continents for use at events.

Managing director Charles Milner said "Our success in the exhibition business can be attributed to a combination of the core skills we have in the company – creativity and project management combined with good old fashioned hard work! This particular event is held in 90 degree heat and pushes our team to the limit over the 4 day build."

Posidonia is one of the largest and longest established exhibitions on the marine calendar and attracts visitors from 76 countries. The RMP Design team returns to Athens fro breakdown after the event.

Charles continued "As a Hull & East Yorkshire Bondholder, what is particularly satisfying is that while our business is worldwide, which gives us the opportunity to promote the region, it is helping support the local economy. Wherever possible we use Hull and East Yorkshire based suppliers and, over the past 20 years, have built strong partnerships with local companies that we know can deliver. We are excited that with the arrival of Siemens, the renewables industry is booming in the area, but it should not be forgotten that the local creative industries also have a lot to offer."

20th Birthday Celebrations for RMP Design

Hull-based design agency, RMP Design & Marketing Ltd, celebrated its 20th birthday recently with a number of new account gains, relocation to brand new office premises and investment in a cutting edge agency management software system.

Established in 1992, the company offers a range of marketing and design services to its diverse clients and has recently added both PR and internal communications to its repertoire.

After more than 19 years based in Anlaby, the company moved to brand new offices at Bridge View Park on Priory Park. The new offices are ideally located to give easy access not only to Hull city centre but also to other areas of the country.

With account gains in recent months including Atlas Leisure Homes and Mail News Media Business of the Year, KMS Facilities Group, the business has seen tremendous growth in the past 12 months. Managing Director, Charles Milner said, “Since relocating to Priory Park, we have not only added a number of high profile accounts to our portfolio but also developed our existing business and in particular our overseas activities.”

The last 12 months has seen the team rack up over 150,000 miles, travelling to cities as far afield as Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Shanghai and Singapore in order to build and manage clients’ exhibition stands.

RMP has recently been accepted by Apple into its iOS Development Programme. This allowing the company to develop apps for iPad and iPhone and giving it access to the full range of development tools and support from Apple.

“We are now looking forward to our third decade of continued growth and the exciting challenges our clients present us with,” continued Charles.
